    Cool thread!
The Spectrum Show was the show where I had the most fun---it was like a party in someone's cool back yard---we danced! Alot of fans that were on the floor were dancing!
Not to mention, Phillie fans are some of the best I've ever Pearl Jammed with--I am originally from right outside Phillie--anyway, thanks for reminding me of the Spectrum Show!!
    Peace Out
PEARL JAM in 2024! Dark Matter and MORE ! THANK YOU!!
Peace Love & Pearl Jam forever!!

fuckin' a! that show was def the loudest and most intimate possible for a large venue, but in terms of setlist i'd have to say the 2005 show edges it out just a little.
My favorite Pearl Jam song: "Corporate Greed Boat Asshole Behind a Counter in the Oval Office"

does anybody know exactly what happened during crazy mary? was it the sound booths fault or did an amp go on stage? the sound crew SUCKED for that show.

i'm pretty sure it was just an amp, i thought it was pretty funny actually. but from where i was on the side of the stage the whole show sounded great.

i was on the floor several rows in front of the sound station and it sounded like garbage. the snare drum sounded thin. could barely hear the toms. the vocals sounded nasely. the overall mix was not as good as it usually is. it was terrible!! during sleeter kinney though, i was able to sneak all the way up front and i was right up against the stage. it did sound better up there for some reason now that i think about it. i wonder why that is?

1st of all - the Spectrum show is a classic! So glad I was there!

I sat right next to the sound station and the sound wasn't good at all. I did sit on the wing seats for a DMB show and the sound was great.

I guess it just depends on where you're sitting, but overall the Wach is a terrible place for concerts.

maybe a lesson learned when selecting seating. although if you purchase tickets through the fan club, as we all know, we don't have a choice where we sit so..... anybody else find that sitting by the sound board does not sound as good as being up closer to the stage? i would think that sitting by the sound man would give you the best sound, but.... apparently not. that is rather strange.

thats was at the oct. 05 show that the amp blew up. were talking about the april 28 2003 show at the spectrum.

i put it in a reply before that the april/03 show had the best betterman sing along ever.

re-read my post. i clearly asked if the guy i was quoting was talking about the oct.05 show. i asked... "the wacho concert?" we call the venue that the oct. 05 show was held at the "wacho center".. short for wachovia center. and why would i start a post talking about how the april/03 spectrum show was the greatest pearl jam show ever and then say that they sounded awefull? i was clearly talking about a different show. put the pipe down brotha!

Ok--The Spectrum show was one of the greatest if you gauge it by energy and joy---the "Wacho" show last year---best ever as far as songs performed---the setlist is one of the best ever ever--at least in the states.
    Gotta love Phillie shows!
