14 minutes to go. How soon after 12 will we see the first conspiracy thread? Inside of five minutes guaranteed.

I gotta say, these boards are turning into FB. Nobody reads or joins an existing thread, it's a free-for-all with everyone creating their own thread that is an iteration of several others.
    Annoying.
Notice I didn't make my own thread, I found one that was marginally appropriate and posted.

What most people don't understand is that TM/LiveNation are paid to take the heat away from the bands. The reason that public onsales never have any tickets and that brokers like stubhub have tons of inventory seconds after the public onsale starts is because the bands sell their own tickets to the secondary market before you ever have a chance at them. I doubt PJ are doing it, but it is common practice (Bon Jovi, for example) for the bands to sell only a very limited # of tickets to the public through TM because they've already negotiated to sell large blocks of the best seats through StubHub and other major ticket resellers (i.e. scalpers). Whats left is nosebleed section garbage or single seats with obstructed views.

When you see these "instant sellout" shows, more often than not the majority of the ticket inventory was sold to scalpers and TM affiliates prior to the sale in order to A) promote the idea that it is a "hot ticket" and get some promo out of it and (more importantly) B) - so the bands make more $$ from the shows without appearing to gouge their fans directly.

The TM "fees" that everyone bitches about? Negotiated by the bands. TM takes a small cut, but whenever you see a ridiculous ticket "fee", blame the band, they are hiding their greed behind TM and TM happily takes the heat. Nobody wants to blame their favorite band (not looking at PJ here, just in general) for being greedy pricks, but that is more often than not the main reason you cant score great tickets to shows anymore.

Anyone who waits for the public onsale date for a show is already screwed. Majority of tickets are allocated to fan clubs, credit card sponsors, venue sponsors/advertisers and sold well before the general on-sale date.

Thank God for 10C, at least we have a decent shot at great seats before anyone else.

Ok but most of this does not apply for PJ.
