i agree, but here's my theory - most of us who have been fans for a long time (i.e. most people on this list), know that night 2 generally has longer sets and more special treats than night 1s, historically speaking
so i think 10c people who know this, put in night 2 as their top choice, got them, and are now looking to trade extras to get into night 1

My thinking is that night 1 would be more in demand in general, both within 10C and the public, because it falls on the weekend. I think people with night 1 are holding onto them to see what demand on the secondary market will be. That's why my top choice in the lottery was MSG2, as I thought there would be less demand. Thankful to have a trade already worked out.
I agree with both of you. I chose MSG2 as my top choice, thinking it would be the more "desirable" show out of the two for me. I would have hopefully already have seen MSG1, and would be able to look forward to certain songs and changes in the set list. I also felt that more people would have chosen MSG1 as their top choice, just from the standpoint of it being the first of the two shows...no real deep thought behind that, and I could be totally wrong. I think it will get easier to trade once the show gets closer - plans can change and 10C'ers may find themselves with an extra. I joined the board in 1998, but have never posted much....I think that puts me behind most of the regulars looking to swap. The ability to go to both MSG shows in GA would be such a privilege - going solo, but hanging in GA, never feels solo with everyone singing along. So hopefully I will be able to make a trade. With that said, I am going to be trying to buy a single on Friday just in case! Ha!

and i have gone solo to GA before, when people ask why, i simply say "i'm not alone, i'm with my family"
We're not allowed to sell tickets for over face period, but that doesn't stop people. Someone on NYC craigslist is already asking $1K each. I'd never try it personally, as being a member of this community means too much to me.

I received a few responses from people willing to trade, but in the end they stopped following up without any explanation. Not sure how a little message saying "Hey, I found another ticket" is that hard to do. In any event, since I pulled a nice seat for MSG1 on TM, I am no longer looking to trade for MSG1 GA as I wouldn't trust someone (based on message follow up behavior) to actually fulfill that trade in three months. Will maybe reconsider as the shows get closer.
