How was the quality of the sound?

I can say, the sound in Gelredome could be better. From my seat you could barely hear Boom Gasper.

Or, just let me say, I think I only heard Boom on the bootleg...

How was the sound at other concerts?

The sound at the Gorge this year was fantastic....volume levels were optimal and the mix was pretty clean. The result was great, now that said I feel outdoor venues as long as your not to far from the band usually have a significant advantage over indoor venues that can have an echo effect sometimes.

  • reading was terrible, but pistoia was brilliant so i cant say i have carved an opinon on the acoustics of outdoor shows. bern was alright was from where we were standing. astoria was incredible, but that was the venue not the setup. from the boots its hard to tell, some soun better than others

It greatly depends of where you are in the venue.
Ideally everywhere should be good..but that's not the case.

Some of the shows I had a very good sound and my friends did not, some others it was the over way around.

Reading was fine for all of us, Barcelona and Prague in particular where bad upfront, but my friends further back had no problem (glad of teh boots if only for that!)....Lisbon on the other hand they thought horrid, but no problem for me.

It must be difficult to properly soundcheck...a full room doesn't have the same acoustic as an empty one.

I suppose you're talking about Reading, PA '04 and I agree with you. the sound was terrible. also in Camden 2003 It felt (at least to me) like Stone was louder than Mike, on Evenflow in particular. other than those instances, they probably have a crisper live sound than any band that's ever played so I can't complain

I believe that would be the Reading Festival in England.

From the first rows (GA) Arnhem sounded pretty good, but the other day Antwerp was a WAY more professional!
In Vienna the first few tracks were loud but did not sound too well but later on it was getting better and better! By the time they were playing Inside Job the sound was simply PERFECT!

All in all at the shows I attended Mike's guitar sound was mostly weak especially in Vienna! It's not fair...:D

The sound at the Stadthalle in Vienna always sucks, but I thought they got it under control pretty quickly. There was one review that said 'as always, the only one not doing their part was the Stadthalle' which pretty much hit the nail on the head IMHO.

    LOL

Sound was not that terrible but could have been better in Vienna!
Hopefully sound engineers won't fuck up Muse's sound in December!:D

  • PJ sounded like absolute shit in the bleachers at East Rutherford 1 - and I know it wasn't the acoustics because My Morning Jacket sounded excellent.
  • The sound on the boot in Dublin is absolutely incredible.
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
    Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
    Chicago 07? And love

Had I not found this love with you
