There is a similar thread about the greatest line Eddie ever wrote. I am more interested in the concert banter. Anybody know of any good off the cuff/rants/quips?

At Pearl Jam's March 28, 1994 concert at the Bayfront Amphitheater in Miami, Florida, Vedder introduced the song by saying, "I thought I'd throw in a bit of street education while you still have an open mind....Right across the street there's a little homeless community that lives under the bridge. You should just know that those people ain't all crazy and sometimes it's not their fault. This song is called 'Even Flow'."

"Can you play tickets on the table turner? Of course you not! You sleep through kindergartens again? Go back and get learned. He needs help getting his air for the tickets where the the air is thicker, lower. Better seats make breathing easier. Waiste pipes not allowed so you go easy now away, you pappanase."
I screamed in excitement, while other people in pissedoffness, up and left

So, here I am:

There's a war going on outside and this feels like a safe place to play music and feel like a family and feel safe... And think about things and express ourselves... Thanks so much for coming down to the gig and being part of it and making us feel like human beings... Thank you so much...~ Eddie Vedder
Pay attention to democracy... It's a living thing... We have to be part of it... It's not something... It's not a table that just exists... Democracy is a living thing that in order to keep it strong and real... We don't live in a democracy, we're attempting a democracy here in the United States... It's our part to be part of it... ~ Eddie Vedder
Eddie must have read a lot of the writings of Greek philosophers.
A while back, this is a request from Matt Cameron... Matt Cameron on the drums... It's about a young kid... He was about to go on a big journey, and he doesn't know where the fuck is gonna take him... But he knows he has to get out of the place where he is at the time... And no matter what happens, it's gonna be better than where he currently was... Even before the first time we ever got here, I probably spent like a large amount of time in my adolescence in Leeds... Like thousand hours in Leeds... With the headphones on... Listening to a record called Live at Leeds by the Who... I was that young kid... I still, pretty much, am that young kid... And now we are here, and we get to play for you all... And it's not lost on us for one second... We're very grateful for our lives... Twenty something years... And not to be silly about it, we've grown up in many many many many ways... We are very responsible in many many ways... But I'm glad that we've just hold on to a little bit of who we were and who we always were... So this is about like not forgetting who you are... A kid... ~ Eddie Vedder

This one's about being a friend when your friend doesn't want any friends... This ones' about being a friend when your friend needs a friend... And this is about not saying no when your friend doesn't want your company... ~ Eddie Vedder
I know that the thing that bonds my friends, us together usually is that at one point we were probably pretty broken. Sometimes people, they steer away from broken people. And those are the people, usually, that have never been broken... There is nothing wrong with being broken. You can get fixed. You can fix yourself. Things break and then they get fixed, but usually with the help of other people... We should celebrate what we’ve been through. It’s the people without the scars, those are the ones you’ve got to worry about. It’s only a matter of time

While we have everyone here... There's a good friend of mine who's worked on a certain cause... It's something called Ningaloo Reef... Sounds like it's one of the most beautiful places in the world... And it sounds like now is the time to be active on it, so it doesn't turn into Miami Beach, Florida... So, I guess there's a website called ningalooreef.com... You can check on, find out how to be active... I guess it goes down in the next few months... And I guess you've got a guy called Geoff Gallop... Representing... He knows it's the right thing to do... It's not that they don't wanna do anything there... It's just that they wanna do it properly, and not let man take over, and ruin one of the few reefs that still exist in that kind of form... He knows what the right thing to do is... He just needs public support so he knows politically it works out for him to do the right thing, and you can do that... You can show him by just supporting him, writing, and attending any rallies that might happen in the next few months... Cause it's evolution... And you gotta participate... Thanks for letting me say that... ~ Eddie Vedder
I was there...it actually was pretty funny. We ended up using FD as our wedding song
I love it!!! Future Days is a beautiful song, I will listen to it very differently now What show did Eddie say that at?
Vedder described a dialogue between two people where person #1 was trying to describe a recent unfortunate personal happening to person #2 who could only respond with "I can't imagine what you're going through, I just can't imagine..."...
Ed's point was for person #2 to try
That was pretty cool
