WE can do this? Chicago, New York, San Diego, Ft. Lauderdale, Phoenix and Boston all have them. I think it's time that L.A. puts they're hand in.

We need to find a neutral location, preferably a bar or club, and we need to agree on a night to do it. DF will definitely play the event, we love meeting Jammers from everywhere.

C'mon. Let's keep this thread alive and make some magic happen.

Being L.A/O.C.... we are scattered to the winds.
There are people I know in Hollywood, Ontario, Tustin, Long Beach, Culver City, MidTown, Santa Monica, Malibu and... other places.
The trick is in the scheduling. The when and where is tough.
    But, good luck with that.

Sorry 'bout that. I originally put Palos Verdes... then, remembered and backspaced it out. I forgot they renamed it Columbus and moved it further inland.

No we didn't make it to Neptunes last friday. I think my group saw Dirty Frank at HOB not too long ago if I'm not mistaken. However, I may be.

I might be up for it. But if we're including OC that means some of us are really going to have to drive a bit!

Yeah we need to figure out the best place for all of us.

I think it can be done, JOGO.... we need to start planning this.

I already got a good flyer for that. I see it in my mind!

How about in Old Town Pasadena. That's probably a midway point for most people. I just happen to live 5 miles away up in Altadena, where it is possible to just hang out at the EZ Stop on Lake Ave and Mariposa, across the street from Webster's Drug Store. There's a cool little "small town" pub called The Rancho a
block above EZ Stop on Lake Ave. I can show everybody the spot where they filmed a scene from "Dodgeball" (carwash scene) That's on Lake Ave also, right across the street from Blockbuster Video (where I once worked at).

it would have to be after the holidays, right?
    Nice to know you.
  • It would defnitely be after the holidays. Perhaps in February or late January. I like the Pasadena idea, but I'm concerned that it may be too far for the OC crowd. We've played at McMurphy's a few times and have pulled decent crowds. They might a venue that would be willing to work on discounted drinks for Jammers and give us the option to put the band on the bill.

Ok... overall it seems like there is an interest. Let me start reaching out to places and then we'll get a date set.
