Anyone in the UK fancy a trip to Marseille?

Hi,
I purchased two tickets for the Marseille show when they were released through Ten Club and currently i am going on my own from the UK. Would anyone be interested in joining me from the UK and going to Marseille with me? I'm a 25 year old guy and i'm just looking for someone to fly out with me and go to the gig with me. Let me know if you're interested as we're getting close to September 9th and i'm still going on my own like a Billy No Mates!

    I'm in the same boat as you are. Got 2 10C ticks for Marseille as well and am travelling alone from Belfast. I have spoken to one or 2 of the board members, there was one who has said he'd come along, but haven't heard from him for a while. Either wways, I'm gonna be at the gig.
    If Pearl Jam was a beer, they'd probably be the best beer in the world!!

    I already have tickets but if you guys do end up going on your own, you can certainly hang out with me and my mate :)

    Have you booked your hotels and flights yet? I'm not a big fan of gigs on my own here but at least i can speak the language and i can head home after. If i could meet up with you that would be great!! :)

    Sure no prob. Yes I arrive in Marseille at 13:50. Then gotta make my way to the venue. Not staying in a hotel, going to hang out until I leave the next day at midday :) I'll PM you my number :)

    Hi!!

    I will be taking a one week holiday in the south of france because of the concert, I'm currently living in the UK, but I will arrive there on september 5th.

    Anyway, I'd like to meet some of you before the gig, because I'm traveling alone.

    hope you don't mind if I PM you lot with my phone no as well. I hardly speak any French and I'm travelling alone and I'd really like to meet up with you lads before the gig.

    Heading out alone too - though I'm buying Negationist's spare ticket off him, so I'll see him at least. Gonna be landing out there on Thursday 7th, and leaving for Paris by TGV on the 10th. Would be cool to meet up with you folks.

    As an intro my name's Michael, I'm 27 and I'm from the NW of Ireland. And I speak French quite well, if I do say so myself (did a degree in it, so would need to!!! :D).

    For anyone arriving into Marseille Provence (MRS) airport, there's a shuttle bus to the Gare St.-Charles every 20 minutes from 0630 to 2050 (and several less frequent after):

    The journey time is about 25 minutes and costs €8.50 one-way.

    hey i'm heading out there on my lonesome too...finding a hotel was too mcuh off a hassle - no cheap ones anywhere in town, so just gonna mooch around till my train goes at 9am

    Don't panic if I don't respond ASAP, I'm leaving for Dublin tomorrow and won't be back until Thurs eve :cool: :D

    If any of you guys want to split a room in Marseille let me know. I am staying at the Hotel Kyriad Vieux Port, a couple miles from the venue (on the port). I could only book a double room for around 80 Euros. So I wouldn't mind splitting the cost.

    Or, if you want to hang out and drink all night I am game too.

    I leave for London tommorow and will be traveling the next few weeks but I will look to check PM's.

    Me and my husband are going to Marseille too - thought about Paris but decided we might as well get some sun too! Can't wait, haven't seem them since the Astoria. Maybe we could meet a few people for a few swift halves beforehand?

    really not too sure about anything. I get into marseille at 2pm after probably spending the night in my sleeping bag on the floorin stanstead. Shaing your hotel room is looking more and more appealing. However, might just be beyond my budget. But we'll see. As for now, probably gonna hang out after the gig coz my trains at 10 in the morning the next day, and i'll also have my sleeping bag. So people do let me know, if there are people willing to chill all night long, i'd be up for that. Still not sure what Dun is doing, but he's meeting me for the gig.

    OK here is my plan, I think :D

    Get into Marseilles at 2 pm ish, not sure though if that is UK or France time. Head straight to the venue.
    After the gig I'll be drinking :cool: Staying up all night I suspect, unless we find really cheap accommodation, unlikely I'd imagine. Plus *fingers crossed* it should be warmish.

    I'm meeting Copey at the airport so anyone else that wants to hang out with us is more than welcome to :)

    i'm getting into marseille like 4pm heading straight for the 10c queue - then afterwards i'm also gunna be pulling an all nighter.....my train for paris is leaving at like 9am so if i could hang out with ya'll till then that would be tres cool!

    Yes of course you can :) I'm thinking quite a few people will probably be pulling all nighter's. Not sure how I'll manage it. Haven't done one of those for years!! :D

    Hi, i went to Dublin on my own and had a brilliant time - met a great bloke who had 10c tickets and a hotel room and was on my flight back!

    Erm, I think you misunderstand me. I have tickets for myself and a friend. Copey said he was going on his own and wanted to meet people to hang around with. I'm not sure if he has a spare ticket though. Maybe you could try PM'ing him if you wish to go :)

    I'm going to be in Marseille from early morning. Was thinking about having a couple of lunchtime drinks before heading to the venue at 4ish (?). Would be good to meet up with everyone esp. anyone with the same sort of plans - ideas for bars?

    What dates are you flying out? I'll check flights.. I'm in Portstewart so it would be easy to meet up... If I can afford it, I'm in.

    See you Saturday then! :D I'll text ya when we arrive in Marseilles. As I say my plane lands at 13:50 but what I don't know is whether or not that is UK time or France time :)

    I beleive we're staying at New Hotel Select. Along with a Belgian fan and possibly an Italian fan too!
