Nice job Robin. You're a braver man than I and it was a lot of fun to play along. For what it's worth I think you got the hardest set of general knowledge questions.

Thank you :) I remember clearly walking back to my chair after the specialised subject round thinking "I don't care what happens now, I got a good score". I probably had a favour done for me too, would have been thrashed in the semi final if I'd got through!

I don't think I got a question on Backspacer, only Lightning Bolt. Trust me, I won't forget the MSG concert now!

My bad yes Lightning Bolt! The Artwork one. I'm a big bootleg head so MSG was just a no brainer for me, not so good on anything else!

Thank you! Yes it was terrifying before hand, "calm in the middle of the storm" during and a big sigh of relief afterwards! One off the bucket list :)

I'd have taken 12/13 before the show so I was happy with the result! The first question of general knowledge bugged as I knew it was hemophilia but otherwise all good :)

Thank you! Hemophilia and Oxford were two I should have got, but otherwise couldn't complain. If I'd made it through I would have been thrashed in the Semi so going out narrowly was maybe the best solution all round :)

The first question my answer was a guess! I wonder how who does the research for the show for the questions to ask the contestants?

They have a team of researchers who work for the show to design the questions. When I had the audition I had to name the biographies of PJ to give them a base for the questions. They do check for difficulty and time taken to ask so each contestant gets roughly the same number. Though the lady that beat me did get asked one more :)

He lost time by not interrupting the qs with his answer. Missed out on at least 3 more qs I reckon. Slack tactics ;)

Really? Must be new but then again I haven't watched it in many years.

No I think that's always been a rule, as they design the question length to try and get the same number asked for each contestant.
