This link for the First Responder Bill is from 2010. The First Responder Bill was subsequently passed in 2010. Many components of the bill expired a few months ago, and Congress has been "working" on renewal of the Bill (Zadroga Act). Funding is expected to be passed under the omnibus spending bill within the next few weeks, that is if Congress can get thy shit together.eddiec said:

Good catch, I usually look at the dates before reading an article but missed this one.Asterisk on the Street said:

I hope they get it right this time. We'll probably know before the end of the year it sounds like."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -
Sorry about that. I saw December 10th and figured it was current. Regardless, it doesn't change the actual vote, albeit 5 years ago.Asterisk on the Street said:

Still, maybe edit the first post so people don't accidentally pass this info on as current? It is confusing since it is currently being debated and voted on again. I thought at first this thread meant the new bill was unexpextedly voted down!eddiec said:

So is the bill going back in for a vote? I know congress likes lumping bills together so certain things don't, that should, get passed.
Any new news?0 -
