I noticed quite a few peoples BF RSD hauls included the Beck - Dreams 12". When this record came out Exclusively through Beck's online store months ago the postage price put me off. It is not sold out online so why they needed to reissue it I dont know. Anyway they reissued the not so exclusive record for BF in the US and 12 days of Xmas in the UK and I stupidly thought I would be able to go and pick this up in the UK for under a £1O at my local record shop. They had it but £15 WTF!!!! Its basically 1 track. I can't be the only one who sees stuff like this and just thinks we'll they can f off. Seriously I went online and bought Springsteen's Promise 3LP for £14.99 instead.
The record shop aren't completely blameless because they set the retail price and decide what profit they want to make but the likes of Universal are just majorly screwing it up even manufacturing this. There was no need to reissue this record. Expensive the first time it was pressed (why else did it not sell out) then they had a US and a EU pressing done (diff sleeves). No wonder there is such a pressing back log. I just don't understand this business.
