Garden (live version)

Just caught the entire run of the SF shows. Best I've ever seen them play live and I've caught them about a dozen times since '92. That being said, when did they change the way they play "Garden"? This is one of my favorite PJ songs, however I was very disappointed with how they played it on the 7/16/06 show. Seemed kinda fast, intro was different, solo was shorter, etc. The only other time I'd seen them do this was way back in '94 I think (circa Vitalogy) and it was more like the Ten version (but live of course).
Is anyone else disappointed w/ the way they play "Garden" these days? I honestly can't complain about anything else. Maybe seeing Yellow Ledbetter as the closer for three straight shows, but I still like that tune.

I've only seen it live once (Vegas '06) but my favorite version I've ever heard is from the Stockholm bootleg 2000.

I'll never complain about Garden being played (especially after the long absence ... Tampa '00 until this year?). Having said that, I prefer the old version too.
I personally don't care for the intro but the rest of the song is GREAT!

they premiered it at the MTV2 show in Europe Gonzo
mind you, i love the earlier version just as much
heres hoping they play it in dublin in 3 weeks time
agree. i'm a big fan of Matt Cameron and all (being a drummer myself), but listening to how Dave A. evolved his drum-break during the guitar solo from 1992-1994 is just amazing, drummer-wise.
listen to any of the 1994 shows, and the drum break near the end (during the guitar solo).
on a side note, the short hi-hat/splash-cymbal intro to Blood is also 100% ace.
Garden should have been played alot more in Europe. The crowd singing was great on one of the bootlegs where they did play it.
