STL Popeye and Portland Emek questions

From time to time I look up auction values for posters that I have and for ones that I want to buy. I have always loved Portland Emek and noticed these have gone way down in value. I just bought one on Ebay for $99 and I saw trades early on for Portland for Wrigley Cracker Jacks (Shuss).

I also noticed that the STL Popeye poster (Marc Dean Veca) is now going for well over $150 when many went for closer to $100 soon after the show. I have one of these and have always considered trading it.

Any ideas why these posters have changed value so much? A year ago, I couldn't imagine asking to trade a Popeye for Portland but now that appears to even be an uneven trade.

    I have no idea, to be honest. Both are cool posters, though. Portland is one of my favorite posters ever. So much detail.

    Supply and demand for posters. I recall the Oslo 2014 poster being in high demand by fans, but I believe the price for it has come down.

    Not sure of the fervor over the Moline poster, its a fine poster and I got it at the show, but its an average poster in my mind. The Portland Emek and Oslo Cooper posters are two of the best that I can recall of PJ show posters.

    I don't think its the worse show poster I've seen. I'm not a fan of the Don Pendleton show posters at all.

    I thought the same thing at first. Once I saw it up close and in some light, it really is good. Some nice metallics that aren't visible in photos. Ended up buying the AP once I saw a friends show version.

    In person, the St. Louis poster is phenomenal. Lots of tiny details and metallic ink.

    Shill bidding means the seller or someone he knows is bidding on it driving up the price. The main person driving up the price, bidding it up has 0 feedback.

    The last two sold for $83 & $98. So, I'd say there is some funny bidding going on.

    Does anyone have a good picture of the back side of the '13 Portland Emek? Mine is framed and I'm looking for a legible picture of the dialogue on the back of poster. Thanks
