RIP a true legend of rugby union, the youngest ever All Black, and one of the world's most devastating players.
I know that rugby isn't the most talked about sport on here but I just wanted to post this as a small tribute to the first global superstar of the game, gone too soon at just 40 years old. Lomu was the first of his kind, a terrifying blend of pace and power who decimated defences the world over and changed the face of rugby forever.
I was fortunate enough to meet Jonah during his short time with the Cardiff Blues in Wales. He was an absolute giant, but a really lovely and genuine guy to talk to. RIP big man.

Yeah, this is sad. Saw this this morning. Way too young. Lived in New Zealand in 1994 and 1997 and was a big fan. Watching him run over people was awesome.0

He was the first rugby player I knew. RIP.
The Dallas Cowboys tried to recruit him but he chose to stick with rugby.Post edited by Thoughts_Arrive onAdelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -
