Holy mother of all gods and goddess.. YESSSSSS!
This is literally a dream come true.. Apart from few shows, I never get around to burn all of them on CDR, and considered the extra time needed to delete the gap between each track, I'm glad now I avoided wasting my time on those crappy mp3's.. plus, naturally these will sound a lot clearer.. fuckin great.. Now the dilemma.. Since the good D shared the info that CD's will be made available (and so I will HAVE to buy them all), hopefully in a boxset, do I wait until then or buy the flacs too? If I was rich I'd have no doubt for sure.. aargh.. so hard to wait.. guess I'll buy a few now anyway.. so happy that this finally happened

I know I'll want the cd for sure, the question is derbydave going to run a buy on the 05 boxset, in which case I'd call dibs on Vancouver :) Be awesome to have a silver pressed copy of the show.

Secondly, someone mention re-releasing the '00, '03, and '06 tours. I think I'm almost against that. Since PJ doesn't sell them we've freely been able to trade them. All 3 of these tours were available on cd or flac so re-release doesn't improve the quality like the '05 tour. I'd rather they de facto stay in the public domain and people are free to trade them :)

The '00 and '03 tours are on livedownloads. And iTunes, I believe. Unless you mean selling them in the goods section here?

Just so I'm clear, FLAC is going to be the same quality as the CD right? 16 bit? It's FLAC HD thats the 24 bit I think. So if I have 2000,2003, & 2006 shows on CD it should be the same quality as me buying the FLAC from those shows right?

    I'm a bit confused.

As far as I remember they once said that it is ok to share the official boots from 2006 and before, because they are out of print.
Now they are selling them again.
There are many sites out there where you can download those for free (not in FLAC HD and ALAC though)

They are both lossless, so there's really not much difference. ALAC is Apple Lossless, so you should get that if you play your music through iTunes. iTunes has no support for FLAC.

When the 2006 show's went on sale on iTunes few years back, it was not ok to share publicly the 2006 show's. Now that the 2000, 2003 & 2005 bootlegs are available for purchase, you should not be sharing these Audio files publicly. You can probably share the PDF / CD scans of '05 & '06 because they are not included in the purchase downloads.

Just make sure not to post links to any show's available for purchase over at http://livedownloads.com/live-music/3,321/Pearl-Jam-mp3-flac-downloads.html here on Pearl Jam's official message board.

That's what the fan base took it as. They never expressly said it was ok to trade. If I recall correctly, it went something like this (Rumor Pit style!):
Q: Can we trade such and such?
A: Not while such and such is still for sale.

The Problem in this case is that "such and such" have been out of sale for quite a while.
No they are back on sale but are also freely available in a lot of places

The version of 9/1/2005 from the Gorge does not include I Won't Back Down. It wasn't part of the original mp3 download, but it was on the CD as part of the 2005/2006 Gorge box set. Seems like an oversight. Hopefully they fix it.
