Anybody pick up the new Sgt. Pepper set? I'm never big on reissues or remixing classic albums but I get it. This sounds incredible to me. Not as great as the mono set remastered...but it's good. The bass is quite upfront in this mix and it shows how underrated Paul was on the bass.
I bought the album only. I am blown away with it. I was very disappointed in the 2009 stereo reissue. This keeps the awesomeness of the mono and makes it better. She's Leaving Home and Within You Without You gave me ear orgasm.
Yes!!! Those are the two standouts for me as well! Thestribgs on She's Leaving Home are so amazing. It feels like you're in the room when they were recorded. So clean and pure.
Yeah the strings is what blew me away.
