Guitar string bracelets

I have a question for any one that has purchased one. Have you gotten it wet and if so will it rust thanks in advance. I have two and just want to know if I can get them wet.

    I rarely take mine off because it's hell getting it over my hand. Thus, I always shower while wearing it, wash my hands, etc. I've had it for about 3 months and it hasn't rusted yet. I always blot it with a towel when it gets wet and "flex" the string part so the coils spread out. I don't really know if that helps it dry, but I do it. I guess the biggest thing would be don't get it wet then leave it in a damp place. Wet while wearing should be fine.

    I wear mine all the time as well. I got some metal and leather items from a car store to help protect it that I've put on a couple times. Been fine so far. The leather does seem a little worn down where the edge of the string hits it though. But if that breaks it should be very easy to find another bracelet to wrap the string around.
    Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
