Vinyl Record Price Tracker for Amazon - OnSaleVinyl.com

I thought I'd share this here since there's a lot of vinyl fans. About a month ago I created a website that tracks Amazon's vinyl record selection to see what's on sale. I found hunting for Amazon deals to be extremely time consuming so I wanted something that could do the work for me. The site is completely automated so it's not perfect but it does find some great deals and complies everything into an easy to browse list on the homepage. I also have an Under $15 page and, when free time permits, I plan on adding some more advanced filtering capabilities. Anyway, hopefully it will help some of y'all find some good deals for your collection.

Whoa, this is really cool! Thank you for doing this!
Oooo, The Edges of Twilight is on sale.... And Pink Floyd the Division Bell is... on sale??? Fuck me, why is that album so expensive?

OP. how often does this update? Daily?

@smarchee and @RobbyD462 This is pretty cool, I think think you might want to bookmark the Canada link. :)

Thanks! The site updates throughout the day. Anytime someone, or a bot, hits a product page it updates the price if it's changed. The lists on the homepage and $15 Bin are cached and updated once an hour.

With all due respect for your hard work, OP, this is another nail in the coffin for small, independent record shops. Jeff Bezo would love nothing more than to see every one of them shut down.

It's not going to make any difference Brian. People can't always afford new records at record stores. All that the OP has done is save some time for us who would be buying from Amazon anyway. This is not another nail in the coffin for indy record stores. The new record prices are the only nail they need if they plan on making all their money by selling at those prices.... Indy record stores are great for used records, and I give them plenty of my business that way. But it is very rare that I would buy a new album at their stores because they are usually way more expensive than I can afford.

  • In case anyone is looking for either of these, Amazon has Into the Wild for $28.99 and Mad Season Live At The Moore for $24.00. Both with Prime shipping available.

Thanks for the Into the Wild notice. Been meaning to pick that up!

Live at the Moore is ridiculously good on vinyl.

Possibly so, PJ_Soul and I admire your loyalty to indy record stores (I just scored two great finds at my favorite shop in San Rafael yesterday) but the problem is that Undercut America led by Captain Bezo actively seeks to undermine and put out of business (he basically even said this) as many independent retail outlets as possible so that someday you may not have the pleasure of frequenting them. I know this sounds a bit paranoid coming from someone who makes his living as a book dealer but we see the evidence regularly. On top of that us it's hard enough time selling buggy whips (books) in the age of automobiles (Kindle)! At least record dealers are onto something that is currently all the rave. I'm told the number one selling stereo component this year around Christmas was record players.
