Advice Needed: Shipping to Australia

I am working with a guy from another board and we are working on selling vinyl. I have the LP and don't want to get ripped off, which has happened too often lately... What is the usual cost from US to Australia?

I shipped a bunch of PJ vinyl to Australia last year, Benny, PJ20, Vault 3, Sevens and maybe a couple of others. It was quite expensive but that was tracked and insured because of the high value. It was around $200 Canadian, that's around $150 US. Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks. I feel like 20 to 25 for a single vinyl seems fair. Anyone else have thoughts?

So expensive. I have learned my lesson the hard way, and will make no more deals with people in Australia (not that they aren't fabulous and all!). The shipping and customs is just too insane.

This should be close...I just did a deal and it was about $27 heading there and about $29 coming my way (They were both double LP's)...I am in Washington State...I have done several deals with the Down Under and have never had an issue...

I'm not sure exactly how it works but be careful declaring the actual cost. Anything over $1000 declared value attracts import charges and they can be steep.

20-35 for postage for a record is about standard although that usually won't include tracking once it leaves the country it is sent from. If you want to go down that path you may be looking at going into three figures depending on the weight.

that's the best article I can find on import charges. I got stung major when I bought a few things
