Fuck the crowds , the ? should be which venue has the better sound i don't attend shows hoping the crowd is great i prefer great sound and there have been a couple of MSG shows when the sound sucked ....

The old spectrum had MUCH better sound than MSG.
Agree that the old MSG sound was terrible at times. I think it was the 08 shows at MSG where the sound was just awful.

Been to MSG. Been to the Spectrum. Spectrum had better acoustics. That 03 crowd is the closest i'll get to a south american PJ crowd

The crowd makes a huge part of the show. Name a classic pj show that had a crappy crowd. I.e. Newark 2010. Killer sound and one of the greatest sets ever but probably the worst crowd I've experience in the 53 times I ve seen pj. The majority thought it was a pretty shitty show overall. If that show was at MSG or philly you d have one of the greatest pj shows ever.

A great concert can still happen with a chill crowd. State College 03 and Ottawa 05 are two of my favorite shows that I was in attendance for and they featured rather calm crowds.

The crowd at state college was killer! Maybe we have different definitions of chill. Ottawa 05 really doesn't come up in too many top twenty lists.

I've been at many of the great Philly and NYC shows and I'd rank Ottawa above all of them.

Ottawa 2005 was awesome... one of the hilights of 2005 for sure

I thought it was better than MSG 1&2 2008 and Philly 1&2 2009

Well those four shows weren't anything to write home about. Isn't Ottawa known for very lackluster crowds?
