Like said earlier, Europe don't get your hopes up too high. They probably won't communicate anything. Their is nothing to communicate about something that never has been official. Let's pray things might change, but chance is minimal. Probably promotors needs to be informed first. Friday we know for sure. It really seems no PJ25 for Europe. Safety first!

Wow I hope bands aren't cancelling tours over safety concerns because if so that means there is a greater threat to future shows than I thought.

Doesn't make sense. So many big acts announced EU tours recently for the next year (The Cure for example). PJ giving in to terrorism would be very dissapointing. Better cancel US tour as well. There is far bigger chance of terrorist attacts in big US cities than in majority of EU.

It would be a very weepy decision to say "we don't go to Europe because of safety reasons" and I don't see any indication why european PJ-fans shouldn't be hopeful for 2016. U2 e. g. will play in Paris the week after next and Coldplay announced a european tour a few days ago.

Make no sense at all, if anything they would want to get out there. Any what "safty issue" would that be? US is at war with Deash as well, and PJ are amongst other things pro choice, so could as easily be targeted by crackpots stateside. There are weekly terror attacks in US (but by WMA so not listed as terrorists...)

I like that December 4th is soon. It would be awesome to get some travel planning for spring going in the winter

You mean you haven't booked hotels yet?
 Nope. Somehow I cannot bring myself to do that based on pure speculation. We always found a place to stay, so I am optimistic we will for this as well.

The promoter of the show in Rome (Rock in Roma) seems to still think the tour is still on...

Totally agree! And if they don't want to do this because it don't feel good. What can we do... Pray for peace and a 2017 tour and listen to the bootlegs

I always assumed a journalist would verify and get confirmation either way before stating conjecture as fact?

And, no, the dates posted here are not based on rumors.

I understand what you are saying, but please consider that for many outside of the US, be that Europe or Australia, have family and work commitments meaning that 'booking flights & getting our butts over' for a spring tour isn't a possibility.
I can understand why people might find the idea of shows they have, rightly or wrongly, let themselves get excited about being cancelled an upsetting one.
It would be the same for those in NA who have gotten excited about a spring tour, booked hotels etc and then that tour be pulled. Rumours around some of the potential European dates have been circulating since the summer.

At the moment there seems to be more rumours in support of the shows happening than the rumours against. So lets keep our fingers crossed.
I do hope that PJ consider their actions proportionately. I mean they've just played a country that has been in civil war since 1958, they still play NYC and they've played the UK despite previous acts of terrorism.

Music is what it's about. <3

I don't buy the "terrorism in Europe" argumentation. the tour might be postponed but it could not be the only reason to do so. if it's true then maybe there are additional reasons? i believe we will get some update by Dec 4th
