Actually this was in the 90's. It was a joint project where the DEA negotiated for them to patrol more of thir coast and in exchange we did humanitarian work. We demolished their maternity hospital that looked like it belonged in a 3rd world country and built them a state of the art facility. Many, many kids were born in better conditions thanks to my unit and they helped defeat the columbian cartels based on it as well. So there.

The project helped end the speed boat craze the cartels were using. They were too fast once they got in our waters so with the help of the Bahemian military they were able to catch them. The kids did not have anything to do with it. They were just born in much better conditions.
