I really don't know if there is a difference. I just know that I love my LED.

I believe most manufacturers have stopped making plasma's as of last year. They worked great in dimly lit rooms though.

I'm in the market for a new tv myself...

    LOL! Me too

Plasma? That a component of blood, right? Led? Past tense of lead follow or get out of the way?

But seriously, I have no idea what the difference is. We still have an analog TV It's hooked up to a digital converter for those rare time we watch TV. Mostly it's used to watch movies on the DVD player. I also still have an old Hitachi tube TV that you have to get up and go over to and turn the volume knob. And in my office I have a TV with a built in VCR player. I'm a fan of old technology. It last ten times longer than new shit.

I disagree Brian. I think TVs in particular are pretty damn good now as far as lasting goes. I only dropped my analog TV maybe 5 years ago, but had to because the damn thing died on me, and it was only 10 years old. Also, I have had every single VCR I ever owned cop out. And i don't buy cheap electronics. Meanwhile, I am still using the first DVD player I ever bought and it works great, and i don't know anyone whose flatscreen has died on them yet (i'm sure it happens, but it's not like they only last 5 or 10 years and then stop.worming like my old fashioned technology always seemed to).

    Sucks when they stop worming!
    =)

I inherited my sister's Sony tube TV from 1989...that thing made it a good 20+ years and we switched a couple or so years ago to a Vizio.

Vive la difference! Much easier on my eyes too.

Our VCR blew awhile back, but it's good motivation to get the few precious dinosaur videos transferred to DVD. And our DVD player is the Playstation.

Hey, stop raining on my Luddite parade

You're probably right. I just need every excuse I can get to keep the old shit running!
