Live at Sine is his best anything he's ever put out IMO.

Agreed. The Way Young Lovers Do from that album? Absolutely insanely great.

What a classic album. I remember discovering this when I was a freshman in college and was obsessed with it for months.

As an album just from a musical point of view, I have to say Grace is untouchable. But Live at Sin-e is also my favorite Jeff Buckley album, because of the range and humor and the incredible music on it. And Live at L'Olympia is my fave live Jeff album.

I'm lucky to have seen him live twice at Sin-e, although only once was a real show (and it was a surprise unannounced one (that everyone still knew about)) so it was after Grace was out and after he'd already moved on from his residency there. Also, unbelievable as this will sound, saw him at Sin-e the first time he visited NYC and sang a verse at another artist's show. BUT I DON'T REMEMBER IT!!! I just know from others who were there that it happened and I was there, because I remember the other artist's set, but Jeff was a total unknown then and I probably just thought "Wow, that guy's voice is amazing..." and then ordered another drink or kept talking to my friends... maddening to me!

Here's the video I always show people when they say "Oh I never checked him out..." although,, frankly, to me it ruins every other artist once you've seen this LOL! Live on French t.v. in '95...

Isn't it? So glad the French camera operators didn't have ADHD like so many - they actually left the camera on him and the other band members for actual periods of time so you could see everything! That moment where he just channels pure energy and sings his butt off and the camera catches almost all of it - spine-tingling...

Wow, that was indeed incredible! It's depressing to think the potential this guy had, the music he could have gone on to make.
I think my favourite song of his is still Morning Theft, gets me every time.

Happy birthday, Grace! I SO wish I could have seen him live too. I have a photo of him from Roskilde festival in 1995 I think taken by a friend. It's still on the inside of my wardrobe door, I could never take it down. Btw, the "grace" in my name in here is from the album.

I just read in one post today that apparently David Bowie once said that the ONLY album he would bring to a desert island is Grace. Now that is a SERIOUS endorsement!
