I am listening to the boot of the Cincinnati concert in June and love the the version of Betterman. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the "Save it for Later" came from and who originally sang it or wrote it. I have tried searching song lyrics web sites and I cannot find it.
Thanks for your help and have a great holiday!!!!

  • My 2 favorite versions of this are the Philly 05 and LA 2 shows. check them out if you get a chance.
There's a light when my baby's in my arms :)
  • i love it when they play save it for later, a great song that fits so well into betterman

Must be a sucker for it
Cry cry but I don't need my mother
Just hold my hand while I come to a decision on it
  • I love when they play this, soooooo exhilarating live. BUT the original version is not worth finding if you're curious. It's absolutely horrible in a scary sort of way. Thank god Ed has the voice he does, or it might be even scarier to hear Pearl Jam play this song.

Chicago II, it turned into its own song. there was a complete break between betterman and save it for later. excellent song
  • what's funny is the English beat version is flippin awful. way too .... english.

sounds better coming out of ed's mouth.

That's funny. Maybe it's the catholic school girl in me, or my leftover new wave tendencies, but I love the original.
Pearl Jam's version is one of my fave goodtime covers and I *love* hearing it live. :D

ah come on its not that bad, not as good as pj's version but the original has a nice feel to it, a nice 80's english feeel to it.
