I miss it too. Mine is April 15, tax day and the day the Titanic sank. Remember when 10C used to send you a birthday message (back when it was the Message Pit)?

It's next to me - on my bulletin board. Dated 2005. "Hello Enkidu, We at Pearl Jam Message Pit would like to wish you a Happy Birthday today!"

(Clearly I am as old as dirt.)

I liked seeing the birthdays on the bottom of the forum homepage back n the day. I wish they would bring that back.

Aw man, totally remember that. Not until you mentioned it of course, but hell yeah, that was awesome. But that was before board changes/crashes where so many lost their user names. Back then, I recognized a good % of posters. It really was more like a family.

Trying to family it up a bit more. We shall celebrate you when July 26th rolls around. Not the same as the old forum stuff, but we try to make it homey here.

It's getting better, after the big board change, user names looked like electronic IDs or prison cell assignments. :).

So happy I was able to keep my user name, been P&E from day one here.

Or taking down the wall option on everyone's profile page so private messages aren't mistakenly posted to the public wall?

Great ideas both. Let's do it 10C!

You can delete messages on your wall. An x appears when you move your cursor to the top right corner of the message.

Bringing back a bday section is good idea. good thread!

Would you like to be included on that bday section? I don't believe that I have yours.

I loved it too when the birthdays were shown on the bottom of the page. It made you feel special when your name was up there on your day :) Nice idea, deadend :plus_one: The birthday threads are always fun.

    Agreed with you folks!

I'm not one to "celebrate" my birthday (though my mom insists otherwise  ) but it's really nice to extend good wishes to others.

For myself I don't like to make a big deal out of my birthday but I do like to celebrate others for sure. I gather I like to put other people before myself most times.

How sweet, makes me smile. :).

This thread takes me back to the beginning of this forum (for me) and life altering changes. So many great people, life long friends, road trips, late nights,, awesome shows and, unfortunately, loss.

Sounds like life as it should be.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to hijack your thread. It tugged at the old heartstrings, and for that I thank you.
