The New York Mets...

My 2 favorite things in the world are going to see Pearl Jam, which is a once in a year or 2 experience, and the New York Mets, who I get to see as much as I want during the summer, but only very rarely when it actually means anything.

Unlike 75% of the people on the streets of NYC rocking the orange and blue right now I am a true, die hard, good times or bad fan and having them play the way they are right now, with the knowledge that Pearl Jam is gonna be here in a month and a half, awwwwww shit, it's like Christmas in August for a nice Jewish right now.

In short, Let's Fucking Go Mets!!!!, Oh, and Pearl Jam.....I'll see you guys in September too!

I was 10 the last time we won the World Series, and because my mom is an idiot that didn't understand the significance made me go to bed during Game 7. In 38 years I still have yet to see my team win the whole thing in front of me as it happened.

Right now, this moment, this is the best its been to be a Mets fan in 8 years. I'd forgotten what this even feels like. No one wants to play us right now with the pitching we have. No one.

I will say that I do not wanna play the Giants and Bumfucker. After watching him destroy everyone last year like they were freaking Little Leaguers having to play the Giants scares the crap out of me....but ya know what, if we make the playoffs for the 1st time since 2006 it's a problem I am more than willing to have.

Been at all 3 playoff games at Citi Field so far. Going again tonight. Leaving for Chicago on Monday night for Games 3, 4, and 5.

This has been the best month of my life.

Mom is a diehard yanks fan, dad die hard mets, so I chose the braves! Early/mid 90s decision. I stick with them through fifteen years of no playoff wins (yes it's been that long). My other 3 teams are NY teams and I have one albatross.

Not sure about other areas of the country but it seems kinda common in nyc for someone to like one team outside the city (teams that come to mind- Cowboys, lakers, Bulls, heat from 2010-2014 lol).

Absolutely. But I made the decision when I was five years old, and I stuck with the team even though they have mostly sucked or faltered early in the playoffs, so I think I get a pass. I see the Braves play about five times a year too.

With that being said, don't want to steal this thread haha.

I'd love to know the pre-season odds of the Mets being up 2-0 in the NLCS.

they said an anomaly about the mets is that the starters throw harder than the relievers.....on just about every other team, the reverse is true.
