I don't know what is a fair price, and I checked eBay and there aren't any currently on there. It is numbered 131 of 495. Can provide pictures for anyone interested. It is great almost new condition because I did load some pono music on there

I think $500 is a fair price when the music on it is taken into consideration but I will consider reasonable counter offers

haha. Is the PJ Pono really bustin? I haven't checked the forum in a coon's age and am curious george. I'm of the opinion that $400 is fair and if you're really lookin to sell it for a little extra jingle in your pockets, just put them tasty little letters after the price. You know the ones I'm talkin aboot. Oh snap; they exist in the word I ended that last sentence with. Don't end sentences in propositions. Grade 4 science.

Oh snap. It's Obama on the TV again. Brrrr me now. 'sner time.

Biggest PJ bust yet… The PONO!

Do you have one? I love mine. While it's not the most practical device for all people, I probably use it almost 5 hours a day while doing research/writing in my office. Paired with some good headphones, and loaded up with just PJ, it pumps out fantastic quality sound!

I don't the argument is about the quality of the pono, it's the combination of quality/price. Pono doesn't have a monopoly on the high end standalone portable music player market. Sony makes one. A company from China(?) Fiio makes several models. The Fii0 X3 has a really good DAC in it, does high res files and only costs $200.

I don't think the Pono is flopping because it's a horrible player, I think it's flopping because of the price/quality combination. It's a small niche market to begin with it, and they have competition for that small marketplace.

That being said if the Canadian Dollar didn't suck so bad I'd be half tempted to buy it. $400 USD is now around $540 cdn :(

Yeah, I feel you, my Seahawk season tickets that cost like $1800 CAD last year are now almost $2400 CAD this year! Frustrating to see things increase by like 25% over one year.

But as for the Sony player, it's sticker price is almost $1200, so the Pono, in any form is a much more economical option imo.
