Wow. I didn't know much of him but from what I've seen, seemed like a cool mofo.

Looks like many people are mourning his passing, rightly so.

So damn young, but what a way to go.

What a bummer. I used to love watching WWF in the 80's. He was great.

No way, this is sad. RIP Rowdy man.
He was also a pretty decent actor, and his recurring role as Da Maniac on Always Sunny has been an awesome comedic turn.
    We will miss you!

    On behalf of my husband:

    Reminiscing on our indestructible days
The party never seemed to end
    We donkey-punched the night away

    Sin after sin
    25/7
    Some risky business my friend
    Fortune seemed to favor us
Round every dark and twisted bend

    (You can't cheat death
    Can't outrun the Grim Reaper
    You can't cheat death
    Can't outrun the Grim Reaper)

This glass I raise is heavy
Heavy as my heart this day
The Reaper slipped right past us
    Bastard stole your breath away

The Reaper slipped right past us
    Bastard stole your breath away

We raise our heavy glass to you in our indestructible days
    May heavens call to you
May stars align and light your way

    (Farewell dear friend
    Fare thee well dear brother
    Farewell dear friend
    Fare thee well dear brother)

A sad and joyful toast to you
Heavy is my heart this day
Once more into the breach dear friend
    Donkey-punch the night away

Once more into the breach dear friend
    Donkey-punch the night away

    Farewell dear friend
    Fare thee well dear brother
    Farewell dear friend
    Fare thee well dear brother

There just happened to be a 2x4 under the car!

Watching the WWF on Saturday mornings was a huge part of my childhood. My dad took me and my brother to Rosemont Horizon 3 times to watch events. What a blast. I can't remember if Rowdy was at any of those three events or not. I can also remember being pissed off when pipers pit didn't come on that week.

Rowdy was only a year or two older than my parents. Very scary.

I just watched that "piper's pit" episode on YouTube. In the memory banks it was enduring, but in the parlance of the times it is pretty offensive.

It was, as we shall say, simpler times.

    RIP Mr Piper.
