Yeah, I would give them the plus edge too, rr. It sounds like they were responding to some heavy abuse- not that killing is the appropriate response necessarily but we don't know how severe they were abused so it's hard to judge. Hopefully this will turn out well.

I think this is a bad idea. 18 years for conspiracy and second degree murder? Seems light.

I hate to be pessimistic about this, but was this justified murder? Doesn't sound like it. How long before one of these 2 get their hands around a gun?
  • Pretty young when they committed the crime. The crime isn't of the 'horrific' variety that might indicate they are wicked. There might have actually been a motive that one can understand. I'm okay with it.

    * Some idiot married the girl after they became pen pals. I simply cannot understand the prison marriages. I mean, the ugliest serial murderer I have ever seen with a crime as gruesome as I have ever heard (David Shearing) managed to land himself some lucky lady while doing his time. She accompanies him to all his parole hearings every two years to tell everyone he's a changed man and to let him out.

Cantcha find anyone else on these side of the bars that hasn't been indicted for murder? Come on, man.
