those kids are so lucky!!!! I'd give my left lungs to be able to play a song with a sock goat...
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."
When Ed had an engineer pop in the CD during DC 1, he was so excited, knew all the words and pointed out his goosebumps - or as my aunt called them "chickenpimples". How adorable ! Oh, and the kids are real cute, too
I'm 99.9% positive this was recorded at the Warner Theatre on 8/17/08 during the soundcheck time. Around 4 or 5 PM. I put my ear up to the front doors and heard this being played over and over. I expected it to be played live that night as Eddie played it over the PA the night before. Staff around the backstage loading dock said he was inside "filming with his kids" and Brendan Canty and Ian MacKaye were at the gig that night.
Underneath this smile lies everything...All my hopes, anger, pride and shame...make myself a pact, not to shut doors on the past just for today,... I am free.
Pancake Mountain is a collaborative project between indie filmmakers, music/film producers, and musicians in Washington DC. It is nominally a kids show. If your kid lives in the hip neighborhoods of DC, is in a pyramid to go to Wilson, and you trade parenting tips at the neighborhood park with Brendan Canty from Fugazi. Okay, I am starting to feel like Scott Stuckey's shill at this point. In other words, show produced by Eddie Vedder's *friends.*
From the FAQ on the website:
Q. What is Pancake Mountain all about?
Pancake Mountain aims to bring back what got us passionate about music. We want to be able to tear down the barriers that make music pretentious and boring. We enjoy seeing the artist interact with their audience. We like to have fun, we love new music, and we need an excuse to act really silly and call it our job.
Q. Where can I buy the DVD's?
You can purchase the DVD's from:
* The Pancake Mountain Store
* Amazon.com
* Atomic Books

Hey, I'm pretty stoked to say those beautiful kids are friends of mine and my husbands. Well, we are friends of their parents...but you get the idea. They are the most awesome, respectful and mature young kids I have had the pleasure of knowing. My husband and their dad went to a Pearl Jam concert not to long ago and my husband rushed the stage to give an envelope to Eddie. In the envelope was a nice note the kids had written just asking if they could talk to him on the phone.

Very cute!! Great message!!
And I love that even Eddie's got the tour t-shirt on.
Great, the Pancake Mountain folks redid the video to clean up sound and it broke the link. I don't think they usually get so many hits.
