Did anyone else fall in love with Ed's version of this song? I love how he combined Bob Dylan's and Pete Townsend's versions into his own unique song. Lovely!!! Just had to put that out there.

Unfortunately I never got to hear him play this. I was really wanting him to bust it out in Toronto...but I think the Neil covers took precidence at Massey Hall and it was put on the backburner.

I'm dying to hear Eddie play this because I've always loved that song and can see it being done very well by Ed. I hope there is somekind of release of this in the near future.

Dylan's version is great...and Pete does it justice too...

    But

Leon Russell does a mind blowing version on Joe Cocker's "Mad Dogs and Englishmen"....

If Eddie comes anywhere near that version...I'll lose my mind.

    Cheers.
  • I love this song and am dying to hear his take on it.

The Black Crowes do a powerful version, particularly from the mid 90's shows thats just awesome.

    ...need...guitar...pick...Eddie preferred...then Mike...
  • Heard him do it night two in NY...awesome! I like Dylan's version and I love Townshend's, but it was tremendous to hear Ed's. He made it his own while at the same time combining elements of other versions.

I was wondering why the lyrics weren't the same as the Dylan version in Milwaukee. I still get chills when I listen to the Dylan/Cash duet.

I saw the Black Crowes play that the last time I saw them, it was damn good.

I really want to hear this version.

The love I have for Bob Dylan and Eddie are almost indescribable. Their voices and words are my true home.

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this
  • He played it in D.C. night 2 while they were filming. I am hoping, if there is a DVD, that this will be included. Here is to hoping the DVD will be released soon!!!
