They've only been putting together original, unique set lists for a decade and a half.

maybe if they sold more tickets in FL they'd tour there more often than once or twice a decade and the "music writers" would realize PJ has more albums than Ten.
EDIT: Went back and read the article, and I was right!....the reviewer IS an idiot!

What a fuckin idiot.
See you in Philly!!
Peace Love & Pearl Jam forever!!
But this guy, apparently, doesn't understand what a Pearl Jam show is supposed to be about.
The Rolling Stone guy got it. This band has long been unfettered from playing just their commercial successes. They always rely on deep cuts.
In fact, the only "grumbling" I heard about this set was that they played TOO MANY hits.
for the least they could possibly do
Oceans is a 'primal scream' song? Wha??
i read that and decided this article was just going to make me angry. what kind of pearl jam fan actually wants to hear greatest hits all night??? my logic suggests that this guy is NOT worth my time!

HAHAHA, that's exactly what I was thinking, this guy knows nothing about PJ or RHCP.......HAHAHAHAHA

I thought the Severed Hand = Welcome to the Jungle thing was at least equally retarded.

Thank goodness! that's more like it

'would treat fans to their greatest hits, the songs that truly put the group on the rock 'n' roll map.'
'Instead, over their two-hour set Wednesday night at a sold-out Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Pearl Jam chose to offer a semi-obscure selection of songs that excluded many massive hits.'
That was my fault. I read it as 'included', not 'excluded' but whatever, PJ obviously played what they thought was right.

Honestly, it sounds like it was written by a 15 year old kid.
for the least they could possibly do
That could be considered offensive to many 15 year old kids. Seriously, I wasn't at the show, but some of you people that were should really write to that guy's boss and inform him that the guy has absolutely no knowledge of rock music, and apparently does no research for his articles. Was there a single paragraph in that article that didn't have a major factual error? That man has no business writing concert reviews.

Look, it's not like this concert reviewer had any way of knowing what a Pearl Jam show is like beforehand. How was he supposed to research? It's not as if practically every show the band has played in the past eight years was recorded and made available to the general public or anything.
Oh, wait ...
