Isbell's album is out today? Awesome!! Gonna check the local for the vinyl. Been listening to the stream and his storytelling mastery is once again in full display.

They're going to play the album in entirety tonight at the Pitchfork fest; it's being streamed online too.

RE: The album title - "saw this interview Jeff did with Marty Lennartz of WXRT this morning. Revelations: He says they are doing the whole album tonight at Pitchfork! Also, the album name "Star Wars" is either after the 80s missile defense system or the name of the cat; "that much should be obvious""

Shouldn't this already be in my iTunes library? What the hell!!

    Downloading now. Will listen later.

    Wilco rocks
  • Very Backspacer-esque in terms of being a short concise album from a band that doesn't do that. Short quirky songs that are all pretty cool.

Short but experimental, probably the most experimental album they've done without Bennett or O'Rourke. Makes me yearn for those albums -- namely, YHF and AGIB.

Full disclosure: The last album I listened to was Wilco (The Album), which bored me to tears; The Whole Love might be awesome.

I listened this morning and liked it quite a bit. I have only listened once but I think it is my favorite since YHF. I like Wilco best when they do upbeat rock-ish tunes.

I am undecided on it so far...
I like "Whole Love"... and I have only spun this once but it doesn't seem like the songs are gonna stand up over time. reminds me of "Wilco: the Album:.
