"Fantasy Pearl Jam" - 2015 League - (Closed/Full)
Update #2: Link to the scoresheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c94W6w3-I0oA9xrx9ExZ4140YCWzah2KBe27caBbFyA/edit?usp=sharing
Good luck to all! Follow along, I will try to update the night of/morning after each show. Latest will be night after each show.
Update #1: ***Please read all the details if you are new, same rules as last tour for the vets***
Short list of things I need (Either post here or in a PM):
1. Your prize pledge if you lose.
2. The email you will use to draft with. (Really helps if it's also the email to access your Google Drive account as we will be using a Google Spreadsheet.)
3. Your real name if you would rather go by that... haha
Full Rules/Details:
Joe and I were debating about doing it more like Draft Kings but decided against it this time around.
1. Everyone must pledge a prize that will be sent to the winner of their conference. I strongly suggest just sending a $20 10 Club Gift Card as that is the easiest!! Hard copy bootlegs are ok but, No burnt copies of bootlegs. If you want to send some other kind of merch, that's cool as long as it's about the same value as a bootleg and sender pays shipping.
2. Roster of 10 Songs per Team. Songs will be drafted in a 'snaking' order in a separate email chain. You wil have 24 hours to pick a song after the person in front of you picks, (unless it's a weekend, then you have until Monday.) Drafting will start sometime next week (hopefully Monday 8/3/15) or when the conference fills up.
3. 12 teams per ‘conference’ assigned based on veteran preference and then the order that you post in this thread. Going to need 1 volunteer per conference to 'lead' the draft and make sure everything goes smoothly.
4. Tiebreaker: Pick the number of songs that PJ will play in 2015 (Global Citizen + all South America Shows = 10 shows total).
5. Scoring: A song starts out with 0 Points. If it gets played, the song earns 11 points. Each time the song is played, it loses a point.
Scoring Example:
- If you have "Brain of J", and it gets played once, then not for the rest of the tour, it will be worth 11 points.
- If you pick "Fatal" and it doesnt get played, it earns 0.
- If you have "Do The Evolution" and it gets played at every show, it would end up with 1 point.
6. Objective: Pick the most number of songs that will only be played once. Person/Team with the most points win.
7. Songs are the song by title. For example, Slow Lukin = Lukin
8. "Tags" DO NOT COUNT. A tag is defined as a song that is partially played during/before/after another song. List of tags (but not limited to this list):
Modern Girl, Save It For Later, We Belong Together, Interstellar Overdrive, Little Wing, WMA, Another Brick in the Wall, Highway to Hell, etc. If you are unsure if a song/tag counts or doesn’t count, ASK or DON’T PICK IT. If someone asks about a song /tag and I determine it counts as a song after you have submitted your roster, you cannot change to that song, you should have asked before you submitted your roster.
9. Songs that are usually listed with a “/” COUNT as long as the entire song is played. Example list but not limited to: Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, Yellow Ledbetter/The Star Spangled Banner, etc. These songs count separately and can both be picked individually (Not together). If you are unsure if a song/tag counts or doesn’t count, ASK or DON’T PICK IT. If someone asks about a song /tag and I determine it counts as a song after you have submitted your roster, you cannot change to that song, you should have asked before you submitted your roster.

11. Please POST or PM me the following:
1. Your prize pledge if you lose.
2. The email you will use to draft with. (Really helps if it's also the email to access your Google Drive account as we will be using a Google Spreadsheet.)
Disclaimer: By participating in this fan-run game, you hold full responsibility for your actions to pay up your prize and/or receive prizes from others. You agree to be in our group of friends who will be exchanging gifts based on our mutual likeness of the band Pearl Jam at the conclusion of the tour.
----------
Thinking about doing this again for the Global Citizen Fest and South American Tour. Looking to gauge interest, please post here if you want it. Also thinking about mixing it up a little and trying to make it more like "Draft Kings" by assigning prices to songs, but that is open for debate. Thoughts?
For the new people: It's like Fantasy Football but with Pearl Jam shows instead of football players. The winner(s) (depending on the number of people) will be gifted a $20 gift card (to make it super easy) or other approved PJ Prize from the losers.

I'm in! Thanks for running this again -- if I can't be at the shows, this is the next best thing.0

Looking forward to this. This replaced fantasy football for me last fall and I didn't miss it at all.___________________________________________

I'm in.
Can you donate a Bootleg instead?(like last time)0 -
Yeah, that's cool. Bootleg equivalent value is what we try to do. Gift cards are just so much easier because you don't need to organize which bootleg each person needs to buy and shipping info, it just requires the receiver's email address.cutz said:I'm in.

Awesome! Joe W and I have been working some things out. Will let you all know asap, but should be sometime within the next week or 2.
