It’s not as if I don’t know what it all looks like
through a key hole I’m sure it looks
like I don’t appreciate the love
but no one sees the whole like I do
they didn’t see the shell or the brandy or the rose!
they didn’t see the long line before
they don’t know that the man on the moon
might love the woman on the shelf but
it never brings him closer
it’s not as if I don’t know the whole
it’s not as if I don’t know the family man exists too
I do
I’ve seen that guy and his convincing coat and hat!
it’s not as if I gave up easy
it’s not as if I didn’t try for a long time
I did
I tried for a long time
I spent years living in true love

    I don't know why sadness is bubbling up today. Perhaps I am just feeling ripped open because of some other stress? Sometimes that's what happens. Some new cut starts to bleed and it makes old stuff come out too. sigh
