New openers

Any songs that have NOT opened a show that you think would be awesome

Glorified G
State Of Love And Trust
Grievance (This may have been an opener before)
I Got Shit

Anyone who starts there reply with "Off the top of my head they opened a show in Lisbon in 1994 with..... (insert song)." is not welcome here, unless it's painfully obvious.

Feel free to discuss closers too as I'm sure this thread will head that way

They opened Sacramento 2000 with Whipping. It was 10/30 and freezing! Ed came out and said, "Cold enough for ya? Let's warm it up." Then they kick into "Whipping". Really cool and a great tight show.

I wanna hear the acoustic version of Inside Job live. I think it would make for a great opener.

I love the Wasted Reprise/Life Wasted opener, I think that's just a totally kickass way to open a show!!!

However All Those Yesterdays would be a nice opener as well IMO.

They did this in Cleveland this year - It was really unexpected and just plain awesome...

I think if Master/Slave was playing (like they've done at least a few shows this tour) when they came out then go into "WAHHH!" Even Flow. that song wouldn't be as much as a bathroom break then....

Really?! That's awesome. Wish I was there :)
They should open with Once while they're playing Master/Slave in the background. That'd be really cool.

I'd also like to hear them open with Satan's Bed, whips and all :D
  • oh yeah that's right , on the album it goes into once after master/slave....still even flow right off would be great...

I remember I was at a nighttime backyard party 10-11 years ago and they had a big stereo hooked up and I put on Satan's Bed super loud. Everyone freaked with the whips...f'in hilarious....guess you had to be there

Sounds awesome. Such and underrated song. Wish it was played more :)
Even Flow would be a kick ass opener, it'd get everyone into the show right off the bat!

Yeah and they basically opened with it at SF 2 because Ed screwed up Sometimes so bad.

SF1 opened with Of the Girl and then went into Go. Maybe my favorite Pearl Jam concert one two punch ever!
