i would donate but it seems dodgey to me sorry

Wait - was this serious, JWPearl?
Yeah, I'd like to know what is so 'dodgy' about it.

Is it Fred Hutchinson? They are one of the world's leading cancer research institutes. They've been around for almost 40 years. https://www.fredhutch.org/en.html
Three of their employees are Nobel prize winners.

Is it the raffle? Do you think I'm going to 'cherry pick' winners? I can have Rob run the raffle if you want to 'keep me honest'.

Is it because my last name differs when you donate? The reason for that is because more people know me by my "Mrs" name, rather than my maiden name...and if you must know, I have a psychotic stalker ex that I had to get a court order to stay away from me. He is considered by the courts as "highly likely to re-offend", the less my name is 'out there', the better.

Is it the donation site? I have nothing to do with that site except for them giving me a free fundraising page and collecting donation funds for Fred Hutch, I don't get any emails when I get donations, I have to check my page and only if someone puts their name down will I know they donated-even then, I don't know everybody here, so they usually PM me. I already paid a $100 registration fee to be a part of this climb, only $25 of that is tax deductible, and it is totally separate from the donations collected. Everybody participating in the climb is required to raise a minimum of $250-in addition to the $100 registration fee. Pretty sure anybody here who has already donated will tell you that you do in fact get a real tax receipt.

If you really have honest questions, spit it out. Otherwise please don't be rude, cancer research means a lot to me right now.

I can say not only is it a real tax receipt but my work accepted it for a charity match. My work rocks for that as they will match any donations we make to charities as long as they meet a set criteria. They accepted for the match based on the receipt. If it is good enough for a fortune 500 company it should be safe for us peons. Not to pressure anyone but this is a great thing RK is doing that warrants our help if you can spare some cabbage.

Sorry RK, I dont think my works match will go towards your total but it will go to the general collection fund from what I sensed from them.

    Ani...I need your info!

    Here is my info:
    Height: 6'2"
    Weight: 190 lbs
    Shoe Size: 11 1/2
    Waist: 33"
    Hat Size: 7 1/4

Is that what you are looking for?
Hmmm, so I'm dealing with a tall fucker...think Rob can take you on for me.

I want to know if you'd like your tag to say something special...and please forward your receipt to me so I know where to send goodies to.

I'm going to look into the gift matching thing, not sure if you or I are supposed to tell them about it. Guess some companies take a while for matching donations...

All I need to take Rob down is a well placed golf ball using past history as proof. Plus I'm confident if that doesn't work I can out run him in his crocs. I don't buy his whole he will chase us down in them bit. Unless we are in a swamp that is.

I will come up with something for the tag and will let you know shortly.

Thanks for your words of encouragement Ani! No worries if it won't go to my personal goals, Fred Hutch has a $1M goal for the event.

I think I have to raise my personal goal...there are several people I see that have collected $1000 already...but I see my name on the page! https://www.classy.org/seattle/events/base-2-space/e47982

    Bump it up!

And your earlier post speaks to your integrity - further justification wasn't necessary in my eyes, from what I know of you :)

(I am still doing this, by the way! Just gotta get my shit together)

Yup. However, nobody said I had to wash Piper before I returned her...

It was also not specified that you couldn't return her with a furry black and white friend either...
