we all know what made us pony up and come here.. ( if PJ wasn't your immediate response, you're in the wrong site! Lol), what made you stay??
For me, it was the allure of there being able to communicate with others that loved this band as much as I do. But the more I played here, ( and the Sony boards, Synergy, and then here as we know it currently ), the more I came to call it home. I 've seen many changes, ( like I remember when the PJ site was a Q&A format, and we just started conversing amongst the waves of silence waiting for answers), seen many dear folks come and go.. And I learned a lot about being human from the people I've "met" on here, and the few I've met FROM here. I've learned that I'm not as weird or 'bad' as I once thought I was, that there IS hope for our species; in that there those among us that refuse to stoop, and instead give helping hands that others may rise above as well. So....

    Obviously Pearl jam were the intial reason for being here and still a main reason. But most of what I do on here nowadays has nothing to do with them. I spend most of my time in here, AET, playing games and whatnot that have nothing to do with the band. I don't have much of a social life, so this is kind of a social outlet for me. I like The Pit. And I enjoy every minute I waste in here, lol.

    At this point it's just habit. Last year was a big PJ year for me and 2013 was like the pre-game, so i spent a lot of time on here for practical reasons such as trading, gathering info, "getting to know" some people, talking through hotel & transport options etc. So by now it's just become this habitual thing - I open this site more than my email. But I do the same stuff as TWTM, you'll see me in AET threads just b.s.-ing or letting off steam. There's a few things I'll bitch about on here to save my RL people from having to listen to. There's a buttload of stuff I won't discuss on here cuz it's too personal. Basically my shit is so fucked I spread the wealth so no one but me needs to know the whole story lol but I do have to vent because keeping it all inside didn't go very well. I'll also skim LD to see if anyone is looking for something I have. There's a lot of good people on here so I don't beat myself up over the socializing I've done here.

    Definitely here for the PJ news, talking with people who understand the obsession, and to make friends to meet up with at shows!
    But I keep coming back because it's not a blocked website at work and it gives me a good break throughout the day / during lunch. :lol: I would rather talk to some people on here over some of my co-workers.... I like the social aspect of an online community that is less anonymous than Reddit, but more anonymous than facebook. This is the place I come to to get real advice and have interesting conversations about my biggest interest: music.

    I came because of PJ obviously, and because many years ago I belonged to another bands forum and had tons of fun on it...so I thought this would be even more fun here...and in there year...yep, year this weekend, that I have been here, I have met a bunch of awesome people that I am happy to call friends and would love to meet up with at shows...and think the world of...and I come here for advice, and I come here to bitch, and I come here to play games and when I'm bored, and when I want to share good news and when I want to share bad news....it's just a great outlet....

    I'm here for the sex, drugs, and rock n roll..

    Not a whole lot of rock n roll lately so it's mostly been the sex and drugs..
