I sent an email to Cal Performances in regards to bringing poster tubes to the show and here was their response:

I checked with the promoter (Live Nation) and they said that should be fine.
Thank you,

They need to make this happen for ALL Pearl Jam shows ... either that or just sell the posters to us already in a tube ...

per the email i got, it was the promoter giving the go-ahead, not the venue... so i assume it would be true for all of their shows... that being said, i expect a little bit of hassle, since the promoter might not mention this is okay to the venue

That would be sweet! It was so great to be able to bring a tube in to the Dusseldorf show. You can just sit it on the floor in front of you and not worry about it!

I'll try and do it later this afternoon. Don't have time right now. But I'll let you know what I find out.

who else is going to Bear Lair's bar prior? You can pretty much spit on it from the venue....

Anyone suggest a good close place to park near the venue? Don't mind paying for a spot

I don't think I have ever been denied taking a tube. I just pop the ends off and show it security when I go through without them even asking and found as long as you act like you have done it before its not an issue. Once the guy patting people down had to ask his supervisor, but he said it was fine. I usually just take a cheap cardboard one in the event I have to toss it. I also take several rubber bands in case I get denied so I can carefully roll it up and put rubber bands (loose fitting ones) all along it so there are no creases.

Stuff a shirt in the middle of it, rubber bands, wrap it in a plastic garbage bag, then in a sweatshirt....
