Anyone know the policy for backpacks at MSG? It has been years since I've seen a show there

I was there for Robert Plant on Tuesday June 10, and they are still searching bags, but I purposely did NOT bring a backpack for the very same reason...just wasn't sure.
I wouldn't risk it. But a large-ish bag was okay (I have a Tumi shoulder bag that resembles a soft briefcase, if that helps). I also managed to smuggle in some airplane-sized bottles of vodka :-) Cuz two drinks at the Garden will set you back about $16.

lol.. i wasn't asking to smuggle in anything. i'm just going to be in the city that day and might want to bring my psp, ipod, etc for the train ride and probably will end up buying some crap.
i was curious if they require bag checks

At lolla last year there was no body searching at all. Walked in with a large bottle of Vodka in my pocket. Would like to maybe get a small bottle in as $16 for two drinks blows!
