"My Name is Khan"

OK, before anyone says it, yes, I know there is a thread or two on AET about "what's the latest movie you watched" and I rarely would devote an entire thread to one movie but because there has been so much discussion over the years regarding religious and cultural conflict, especially pertaining to the east and middle east, I felt compelled to make note here of the Indian film, "My Name is Khan". I just watched it and thought, damn! if only everyone could see this movie and apply some of it's ideas to our views about other cultures maybe there would be a LOT less hatred and animosity in the world. It really blew me away and I hope some of you have had or will have a chance to check it out.

    LOL Hugh!

Yes G.F., I'm the same way- no theaters (but only because they are too loud). I saw it on DVD through Netflix. You will like it!

I hope you also like it, W.H. There are so many layers to this film. It's really amazing. A day later it still reverberates in my thoughts at various times.

I should add that it is a bit long and has lots of sub titles. Our TV is rather small and it was hard to have to sit close and read the sub-titles but even still, we were glued to the movie through out and both of us really felt it's impact.

Let me know what you think if you get a chance to check it out.
