when you watch this, you cannot help but think of the song Alive. Of course it is not identical, but I am sure Eddie can understand how Bowman feels, especially when you think of the end of his interview with Steve Gleason regarding knowing his biological father.
Fascinating either way....

Thanks for posting this! I'm a huge fan of Bowman's but never knew about this. You know, we put these guys on pedestals without realizing - or often forgetting - they've dealt with the same problems we all have. They have the same skeletons in their closets. They may be gods on the concert stage, the football field, or the silver screen, but they are still human beings with troubled pasts and tattered emotions. It really helps put things in perspective.
  • It really is sad how it can affect them too. At least it's not like in the 60's when the management teams made sure all of the past was to 'stay in the past'. I think these guys being able to share their issues with the world helps to keep them a bit more grounded, and realistic. It helps them stay human, and thus able to enjoy their successes even more. Thanks for sharing this.

I was very touched by it. I am not sure I could even imagine how it might feel. The American fascination with celebrity amazes me, as they are just people and bleed the same colour, but when they can overcome things as young adults and succeed, not as celebrity but as people, I am truly touched. I always liked Navarro, now I think he is a "star"
