    Yes. I clearly remember all the fuss about a solar eclipse when I was in junior high school. We all had those lenses so that we could look safely at it.

    Though I do the absentee ballot, I try to vote in every election (assuming I'm somewhat familiar with the issues and/or candidates).

    No. I don't want the ignorant or apathetic to participate by force. It makes no sense and I can't see it being beneficial.

    Sure. Life really is too short to do the things you love in moderation!

    Do you believe doing things that are bad for you ( as recommended by doctors) can actually be beneficial to you? Like tanning, fasting, certain diets etc

    Probably not (I don't do any of the three examples!) but then again, we might benefit in different ways on different levels from the oddest things.

    Yes, perfectly. I believe I'm the only one with the instruction booklet for this body so I am best to decide what works for it. It has taken me half a century to work out what works for me, so I'm sticking to it!

    You need to get with the times. At least get a DVD player and watch Single Video Theory. And Seinfeld!

    And no I've never won anything really. I scored tickets to The Late Show With David Letterman a few years ago. I don't know if you would call that winning, but the experience was priceless.
