Oasis reunion

Any UK fans out there with any insight on this rumor? I just saw an old Liam interview where he said Pearl Jam was "rubbish". Love that guy! If the interview just went on a few more seconds i know he would have called Eddie a twat.

These guys, Rage, and Zep are the three bands that if they announced one more show then I would write a blank check and do whatever it took to go see them. Missing it is not an option no matter where in the world it would have to be.

I doubt it would happen soon though. They hateeeee each other but I did hear something a little while back that it wouldn't include Noel... Which isn't good enough in my book. But who knows, it's all heresay.

It's crazy how volatile that group is, but I hope they reunite long enough so I can see them at least once! Their catalog speaks for itself--really amazing music.

When he was asked about a reunion Noel said Paul Weller would smash all his windows if Noel reunites with Liam. Paul and Noel are neighbours.

  • Loudest band I've ever seen. Louder than KISS or AC/DC. Nuts.

The rumors are certainly being taken more serious this time. It appears that Noel and Liam are getting on these days and Noel has had his time to do his own thing.

I'm not sure how I feel about a reunion, Liam's voice is very hit and miss. That said, Oasis gigs do produce an amazing atmosphere, as 2 feign says above they play loud and it's one big sinalong with the crowd.

I much prefer Noel's solo material to Oasis. If they want to play some UK festivals to pay Liam's bills that's fine, but I love getting to see Noel play theaters here in the US.

they bored me to tears when I saw them back in 2000ish. That was a bummer

heh. Noel's album is the top selling album of the year so far in the UK.

To be honest I can take or leave a reunion. Liam sounds so terrible now. The last couple albums were spotty. I like noel on his own. I've always preferred his songs, and now his voice is the only good one. But if they got back together and it was heavy on the first 3 albums and the b-sides from that era, I'd go.

meh. I saw them once at the y100 feastival (radio festival show in philly) and they pissed me off. They were the second to last band playing and they only played 5 songs. Foo Fighters went on before them and played like 10 or so songs. Beck was the headliner and played after Oasis and played like 12 or so songs. But come 5 songs as one of the headlining acts? image

Don't care, lived in the uk during the laddish britpop era, and became sick of the radio airplay they got , don't get me wrong oasis have written great songs, just sound the same to me and the singers a mouthy twat pissed on lager, can't sing(very well) and awful front man. That's my rant over. Didn't soundtrack my teenage festival years was losing the plot in a dance tent somewhere and it was fun!:)
