White Stripes Elephant RSD LP question

pearljimpearljim Posts: 1,312
The Elephant 2LP RSD release a few years back - the albums were white and red correct? Someone has one for sale and they say the albums are white and the other is red/black. Is this legit?

Thanks

I have both and the TMR pressing is the better one. Though I have read the newest pressing 9on black - just hit stores in the past month or so) is a brand new cut and it sounds the best.

Tim, I have the TMR pressing on black vinyl and wanted to add to my collection so thanks for the input.

I have so many copies of this, now you have me wondering if I need to go out and buy another.

MedozK - do you have the RSD release? And is it red/black on one vinyl and white on the other?

I haven't picked it up. I only have a the V2 and TMR RSD. I may pick it up if I can get it for $15 or so, but I haven't heard first hand.

If you do get it or find out info on it, I would like to know the differences in the runout/matrix, because I would think that would be the only way to tell differences in pressings.

A bit of a thread-jack if OP doesn't mind. Is there a way to tell (without opening) whether I have the black or RSD white-red/black TMR reissue? I couldn't tell if there were any identifiers on the sleeve from Discogs.

There is no way to tell other than opening.

Thanks Matt! I'm just gonna open it. Sounds like there are no distinguishable outside markings :)

I didn't think the new black reissue was out yet? Thought it was coming out later this year?
