Holy crap... Chicago 8-22-08 EV Solo Show.

BEST version of Masters of War, hands down.

    30th anniversary Dylan, Vedder and McCready , first time they played it, try to find the Vinyl, (good luck finding it, a german only import) its amazing. The best thing is that G.E. Smith from SNL was on stage and is credited.

    8-22-08 is better than the Dylan 30th anniversary performance. It's that good.

    yup best version... first time I heard it we watched it in college in an auditorium with like concert sound, it was my Music Appreciation class. I was blown away.

    I just prefer Ed's vocals much much more at the Dylan show than on later versions, and the mandolin is a great touch

    Ima have to stand behind my man NewDamage. I mean ed is just ripping a hole into my body when he sings it. He may not sing it with the anger he does now because of Bush. But like NDamage said, vocal, mandolin, idk i love it...

    My favourite non-Dylan-30th-Anniversary version is Lollapalooza last year. Eddie joined Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals for a really powerful version.
