Do people even know what they are complaining about?
As for the other somewhat desirable items - simple probability would tell you that you would be better off spending the $200-$300 and buying the sure thing than wasting it on what is effectively the second lottery. You would have spent $60 to save $200 with odds that dictate against that. You were more likely going to get a fancy new frisbee for $60. Next time save your money if it's going to cause this much angst,
Go outside and take a breath.
(and, yes, I whiffed and had many of the same frustrations many of you faced - saying I wasn't logged in, making me log in multiple times, getting to credit card then white screen, then gone. Checked back minutes (seconds?) after the mini-second round happened. Oh, well.)

If a Benny would be available at 200 bucks, or a Rearviewmirror or a Selftitled or a coloured PJ20 or a brand spanking new Riot Act, yes, it would be as you said. But they are not. And it is not right. These prices are insane. PJ, please reissue your catalogue and put your fans out of misery! We love you for the music! We wanna spin! Thank you.EdsonNascimento said:There were 6 or 7 Banaroyas. There were 6 or 7 HUNDRED backspacers, Lightning Bolts, Tres Mts, RNDMs, Moonlanders, etc. If they had more mystery "entries," there would be more of the latter, not of the former. What effectively happened was a lottery. It was highly unlikely you were getting something you wanted anyway. Sure it would be nice if the suspense lasted another month instead of it being done with. But, relax. In all likelihood you saved yourself $60.

Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0 -
People here like to collect things. They like to have every piece of merchandise that is available. Many got shut out. Many vented their frustration. No big deal. They will get over it. And the rest of us shouldn't hold their words of anger against them.

Couldn't agree with you more. Not really sure if I got one or not. If I did, good. If i didn't, oh well. Still had a real nice Saturday. Can't take this to serious.0

It was about the frustration of thinking you were getting somewhere, only to get a blank screen when you tried to go to checkout, tried to input your address, tried to make payment and again to complete order.
The complaints about what we actually get when the records start to arrive will be a whole different deal.
It doesn't make it any less frustrating when you go through all those processes only to see a "sold out" status in your box. For whatever we gave up during that hour on the computer -- be it going to RSD in person or going to the bathroom or sleep or whatever -- it was irritating. And familiar.0 -
I spent and donated my money elsewhere after this mornings latest 10C server failure. And honestly im glad now.0

Best thread on this whole matter IMO.
Yes, it's not the end of the world but people will feel frustrated. Give it a few days (and a new merch announcement!) and this will be a happy place again.'F*** the pessimists. F*** 'em.' Eddie Vedder0 -
I am not upset that I didn't win but I do think it's crap that the system kept telling me I wasn't a member and when I finally was accepted as a member it wouldn't let me submit my address. If it is a "lottery" do it like the tickets are now and just let me know if I won or loss. That way I won't be thinking I am doing something incorrect (like not thinking I logged in as a member) and I won't be wasting an hour being frustrated. But these are first world problems so it is what it is and in the grand scheme of things we do live in an imperfect world.Springfield 4/6/94, Boston 4/6/94, Hartford 10/2/96, New York 9/11/98, Hartford 9/13/98, Mansfield 8/30/00, Boston 9/28/04, Reading 10/1/04, Quebec City 9/20/05, Boston 5/24/06, Hartford 5/13/06, New York 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08 Philadelphia 10/31/09, Hartford 10/15/10,

I more thought of it as the website not letting us login properly because of a technical glitch. Not it or anyone trying to tell us we're not members... putting it in that context makes it seem a lot more personal than it is.With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0
