Sharon Jones

First and foremost, I love her! If you do not know who she is, get to know her. Check out a couple of her albums or even better go to a show!!!

Did anyone else pick up her Record Store Day 7'?

I heard some came in black and others in pink. Which did you score?

Even though I love Sharon Jones, I had tickets and was so tired the night of the show I wanted to cancel. My gal made me go and I was so glad. I ended up dancing(and I don't normally dance) on stage with her and the band, and a bunch of other people. Sharon seems to have endless energy and she put on one of the best shows I have seen in a while. Experience them live!
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2
    2024 Sacramento, CA

Looking forward to seeing her open for Tedeschi Trucks Band in June! She did open for DMB a couple years ago, but I missed quite a bit of her set. Excited to catch her & the Dap Kings this time!

I haven't gotten too into Tedeschi Trucks Band, but I might have to check them out when Sharon opens for then in Philly. I feel like I have been going to a bunch of shows primarily for the opening band. Its kind of a strange experience.

Saw her perform in September. She was clearly working through pain, and had a pain patch on, but damn, she still brought the energy. Kicked her shoes off and was dancing up a storm. She was a talented artist, amazing performer, and an inspirational person. RIP.
