It's hard to imagine.

Recently I had a conversation with a friend of mine about why I try and get to every PJ show that I can, and especially why I'll show up at 2pm for a 7:30 show.

For me, the live PJ experience starts in the parking lot. There's just nothing like it. Complete strangers treating each other like long lost friends. Sharing some beer, some food, some booze, partaking in some not-so-legal party favors. Swapping concert stories, talking about songs, it's all good. I don't think I have ever even seen a fight at a show.

Honestly, every show I have the time of my life. I guess that sense of community kind of hard to imagine for those that have never been part of something like that.

Here's to hoping they find their way.

    I totally agree with you.
The good thing about this band, is that all the fans come from different walks of life, and yet for one night boundaries are down and everyone is equal.
We are all part of a family, as cheesy as that might sound.

I had the same feeling at the Astoria gig. Meeting people for the first time, yet feeling strangely like they weren't strangers at all. Such a hard feeling to actually put into words how you feel before their shows.

There was a fight in Cleveland in the Ten Club section on the left side wing. Blood was spilled. Much blood was spilled.

Sorry to hear that. There's always gotta be one schmuck every now and then.

the whole day of a pearl jam show is amazing, yesterday took the bus over, saw people i met waiting online @ Irving on the bus & it started, walked around parking lot, met a bunch of jammers i havent seen in a while & also met some new ones, got caught in the rain, running on a downpour to the tunnell, it was great

Taking a flight after work the night before every show I go to in Europe..looking forward to spot the PJ fans on the same flights...and start bewildering fellow passengers by our strange conversations :)
I plan on keeping my wristbands the whole tour so I should be easy to spot ;)
