It was a complete mess, love this band but these problems seem to happen way to often. That is all :(

This stuff should never happen. And it regularly happens here.

Most websites can't handle a rush of thousands of people doing the same thing at the same time. It's not like pearl jam.com is Amazon or EBay.

They can use Amazon Web Services and have no problems with the rush. https://aws.amazon.com/

Very disappointing. Not that I didn't get one but 40 minutes of bullshit saying I'm not logged in, then get in card and bam white screen, and then...sold out. Waste of time.

I'm very disappointed had it in my cart forever and just couldn't get past shipping address

With my luck I would have wound up with backspaces and a newer Xmas single. Good luck to those who got it.

That's where I got also. Then white screen. Then out of stock.

Really disappointed with how this went down. I'm not one to complain usually, but this was horrible.

Had it in my cart only to have it sold out from under me. It's just bad business, in my opinion. Granted, it was a long shot to receive what I was looking for, but I didn't even get a chance. I'll be switching to digital from now on.

To those that got them to go through, sincere congratulations.

To the 10C...please address the order/ticket/server/etc issues once & for all.

Most websites can't handle a rush of thousands of people doing the same thing at the same time. It's not like pearl jam.com is Amazon or EBay.

I think that's a strong point. I also don't think Pearl Jam needs to spend 100's of thousands of dollars installing a megaserver just to deal with a spike in traffic once or twice a year.

    Two solutions might be:

    1) Random onsale time. They announced the sale two weeks in advance. Everyone knew it was happening, thus everyone tried to order at the same time. It crashes the website. A random start time would be luck of the draw. Whoever was on the website at the time would be lucky and get a chance to order one. They would gradually be sold as people noticed they went on sale (opposed to everyone ordering simutaneously). This generally pissed people off if they aren't online at the time, but it's better than the crashing website problem

    2) Lottery

10c has done this before. It reminded me of the pop up shop in seattle. Where we were 50th in line, but lineup blew up and we ended up 100. They didn't check to see if people were 10c members. After hours of freezing out in the cold it was picked bare already. Even worse for the people behind me because I think they closed it off not much further back than I was (And I showed up a few hours early). It felt like like a giant cluserf, because they held it the day after a Seattle PJ concert when all the diehards (including me) were in town. Didn't seem like stellar organization. While I would of have missed out on it, it seemed like something better suited for a day when there was no concert. Keep the lines and expecations down.

I suppose the 3rd option is the 10c stops creating large pent up demand for stuff. It's obvious there's a pretty big supply/demand issue when it comes to PJ merch.

Seems a hybrid lottery/on sale time combo would be the best offer.

Hold a 15-20 minute window of opportunity to enter the lottery. No credit card processing...no multi page load adding to carts. Just a one button click that enters you into the lottery. Then once the 15-20 minute window is up, draw the results and send out E-mails to the winners for purchase.

I think a lottery system would have been the best bet. How many tens of thousands of fans tried for 1000 vinyl bundles today?
